Coronation Street’s Sam Aston is set to become a father of two in the Spring of 2022, with the actor and his wife expecting their second child.
Taking to Instagram, Sam shared an adorable snap of their son, Sonny, 14-months-old, standing behind four pumpkins, two larger ones and two smaller ones, representing the soon-to-be family of four.
The adorable youngster was holding a message that read: “We’re adding another pumpkin to our patch! Due Spring 2022.”
His wife Briony also shared the same snap on her Instagram account with just a sparkling emoji alongside the post.
Sam’s adorable upload that has since racked up over 13,000 likes was soon flooded with celebratory messages from fans and celebrity pals, including his Corrie co-stars.

Brooke Vincent gushed: “Ahhhhhhhhh congratulations.”
While Ellie Leach added: “Ahh congrats guys!!”
“Oh my!!! Congratulations to you both,” exclaimed Sally Anne Matthews.
Before Hayley Tamaddon typed: “Ahhhh huge congratulations,” alongside several heart-eye emojis.
“Ohhhh that’s fantastic, congratulations to you all!” added one fan.
Before a second commented: “Awww congratulations awesome news.”
The happy couple welcomed their first son in August 2020, with Briony revealing that he was born six weeks early.

Announcing his birth, she penned: “Sonny Aston. He calmly entered our world six weeks early on 11.08.20 at 5lbs 7oz and we couldn’t be more in love.”
While Sam revealed the news by saying: “Welcome to the world little man. Our little ray of sunshine. Sonny James Aston.”
Just one year before becoming parents, the actor and Briony, a yoga instructor tied the knot at Stock Farm in Cheshire, two years after he asked for her hand in marriage.

They exchanged vows in front of some of their closest friends and relatives, as well as Sam’s Coronation Street colleagues.
Sam, famed for playing Chesney Brown on the hit ITV soap had previously said that they had hoped to start a family after “being married for a while” as they were keen on exploring the world.
However, his wife dreams of having a “house full of children” over the years.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, she explained: “I want a house full of children but we want to do things like go on a Harley-Davidson trip through northern Italy.
“We’ll do that and then think about babies!”
