Coronation Street spoilers have promised a rollercoaster week ahead, with wedding proposals, affair twists and an unexpected exit.
Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) gets on bended knee for Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), but a mysterious hooded figure throws a spanner in the works.
Elsewhere, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) is rightly concerned when Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) tries to steal her man, leaving her relationship on the rocks.
Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston) makes a welcome appearance on the street, but doesn’t feel ready to return to work – a sentiment felt by many throughout the uncertainty of the pandemic.
And Gail Platt (Helen Worth) says goodbye to her loved ones as she ventures to sunnier climes.
Below are the juiciest Corrie spoilers of the week – don’t miss an episode!
Wedding bells
Summer Spellman (Mathilda Freeman) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) share a sweet moment together when he offers to take her to her diabetes appointment, making the teen realise she misses him as a father figure.
Todd goes into panic mode and decides he needs to prove he can step up as a dad, proposing to Billy in an elaborate gesture.
Billy accepts his proposal and they head off to the pub to celebrate, where Paul warns his ex he shouldn’t trust Todd.
Todd’s bubble is burst when he reads a chilling note that has been left for him, which reads: “Don’t get too comfortable. Your lies will come out.”
Convinced Paul is behind it, he tells Billy what has happened, only for the vicar to head over to berate his ex-boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Todd is shaken to return to his house and find a hooded figure about to break inside.
Dredging up the past, it’s revealed Will is behind the sinister messages, as he tries to blackmail Todd in exchange for his silence.
He spins a sob story to Summer and Billy, who forgive the teenager for his earlier break-in – leaving Paul concerned for their safety.
Can Todd pay Will off and convince him to stay away from his family?
Izzy’s return
As part of a new storyline, Corrie is highlighting the hardships faced by disabled workers during the pandemic.
Izzy sends over orders for the factory, but Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Carla Connor (Alison King) are unhappy with her efforts and decide she needs to stop working from home.
Sarah takes a more tentative approach, whereas Carla FaceTimes Izzy and orders her to come back to the office.
The pressure becomes too much for Izzy, who decides to resign altogether, handing in her notice to a worried Sarah.
Thankfully, Sarah manages to save the day by reassuring Izzy there is no hurry to get the orders sent over, understanding her anxiety in returning to work.
Heartbreak hotel
Trying to find her man a job, Alya informs Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) the bistro is hiring a trainee manager, suggesting he interview for the job.
Daisy has other ideas, however, and lets him know she has found a way for him to make money as a DJ, rather than a restaurant manager.
She convinces Jenny to create a mobile pub for punters in their garden, with a live DJ setting the mood.
As they get started with event planning for Simon Barlow’s 18th birthday in Victoria Gardens, Alya starts to suspect Daisy is after her boyfriend.
When the party goes down a treat, Ryan sings Daisy’s praises, only for Alya to warn she is likely trying to steal him for herself.
Ryan shakes off her concerns and later ends up spending an evening drinking cocktails with Daisy.
With Ryan drunk in the backroom, Alya bursts into the pub, hoping to find him, only for Daisy to refuse to reveal his whereabouts.
When Alya leaves, Daisy returns to Ryan and makes her move, trying her best to get him into bed.
Will Ryan cheat on Alya, after everything they have been through?
Shock exit
Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) and Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) pop over to visit Gail after her health scare, only for the Corrie stalwart to reveal she’s planning on moving to Thailand.
Sam is gutted when he hears the news, and races out of the house saddened to lose another family member.
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) calls over to Natasha’s house and begs her to reconsider cutting Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) out of Sam’s life, pointing out they miss each other desperately.
Nathasha thankfully relents and gives permission for Nick to see their son, with the family reuniting for Gail’s big farewell.
They all say goodbye to Gail as she moves away to Thailand, and during the leaving party, Nick’s parenting skills impress Natasha.
She suggests Sam and Nick ought to spend more time together, hinting they’ll become one big happy family.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
