American rock singer Courtney Love said her fling with Steve Coogan ranked among her great shames in life, alongside crack cocaine usage.
The Hole frontwoman, 56, expressed her dislike of the Alan Partridge actor and lumped him in with class-A drug binges and other areas of her life she regretted.
The former wife of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain has previously said she was mocked by her fellow Hole bandmates for not knowing Coogan was the man behind cringey telly character Partridge.
She claimed she had only known him for his portrayal of record boss Tony Wilson in the film 24 Hour Party People.
She said she had never seen his BBC television show before dating the actor briefly in 2005, but her bandmates had and when recording they would constantly repeat the catchphrase “back of the net!”.

In an Instagram post, Courtney told fans she hated her band’s 2004 album America’s Sweetheart.
She said: “Maybe one day I won’t hate that record. It has some good songs.
“But like Steve Coogan, or crack, it’s one of my life’s great shames.

“Just the period, sloppiness, men, money, drugs, nightmare… although Château Miraval (where we made it) doesn’t suck.”
Love and comedian Coogan had a brief affair before she was later admitted to rehab to deal with her drug habit.
Her Instagram post was sparked by a photo of a car in Melbourne, Australia which was decorated with artwork inspired by the cover of her solo album.

Despite it triggering memories of a string of regrets for the rocker, Courtney described the picture as ‘amazing’ writing: “A happy Australian cruising around, Australia… ‘America’s Sweetheart’ having her revenge, on, Melbourne ?”
She added: “I’m oddly…strangely satisfied with this”.
The album America’s Sweetheart was panned as, “collapsible, frantic and depressingly repulsive” upon its release.
