Danielle Mason said that she once went on a date with Craig David, but she suffered an “embarrassing” wardrobe blunder in front of the hunky singer after her friends stitched her up.
The Page 3 girl went out with Craig on a rather random date that took place in a Chinese restaurant, and the R&B star started singing one his hit songs to her in a bid to impress her during the meal.
Danielle, who is the sister of EastEnders star Jessie Wallace, revealed that Craig had given her a personal rendition of his hit tune 7 Days during the romantic outing.
However, it wasn’t long before the date took a turn for the worse.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at the British Curry Awards, Danielle said: “Well we went for a Chinese and he started singing to me at the table…”
It turns out that Danielle was forced to sit through dinner with her arm in a cast as she’d recently broken her arm.
The cast certainly wasn’t your traditional date attire though, because it had rude phallic symbols plastered all over it by her cheeky pals.
She said: “I had my arm in a cast – I’d broken it – and my friends had drawn all willies on it so it was really embarrassing.”
Luckily for Danielle, she said Craig didn’t say anything about the cast and he was “really nice” – he even paid for dinner.
The pair apparently went on a couple more dated, but the spark eventually fizzled out and they lost touch.
She once told the Sun: “I think I was playing hard to get.”
Later on in the chat, Danielle revealed who her ideal man is, and she had one Hollywood hunk at the top of her list.
She said: “My type that I would go for would be Jamie Dornan, I’d go for him. He’s talented, very nice looking, and he’s not like a show off. He’s very humble.”
Dishing on her love life, Danielle said that although she’s single at the moment, she’s been put up for some major dating TV programmes.
She said: “I’m single at the moment, but I have actually been up for a lot of dating programmes and I’m going to try and find someone on there, and I am getting set up with someone but I don’t know, we’ll see.”
When asked if she could drop any hints about which dating shows she was referring to, she answered: “I can’t say, there’s been a couple and they’re big programmes…”
