Ellie Goulding has shared that her son’s name is Arthur Ever Winter Jopling in a formal announcement in a newspaper.
She and husband Caspar Jopling made the announcement in the Births, Deaths and Marriages section of the Times paper on Thursday.
Caspar shared the announcement on his Instagram too, with the caption: “It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. Ecclesiastes 7.5, ps hi AEWJ.”
Singer Ellie, 34, gave birth on April 29, as also revealed in the paper announcement, with Caspar confirming the news on his Instagram.

He shared a post on his Story on Sunday of a picture of a bunch of flowers and the caption: “Mum and baby both healthy and happy. Extremely grateful.”
However he added: “I don’t ever address the public attention that comes with Ellie’s job, but during this magical and personal moment we would really appreciate being able to enjoy our privacy – thank you.”
Just weeks ago, Ellie revealed she was already eight months pregnant with a glowing at-home photoshoot for Vogue magazine.

The Starry Eyed songstress discovered she was pregnant while she and Caspar were celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary.
The couple married at York Minster in August 2019, in front of friends and family – including the likes of Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Sienna Miller.
Ellie is known for her athletic body, but she confessed in a recent interview that she was enjoying her “bigger a** and these rather nice boobs” that came with pregnancy.

She told Stella Magazine that she’d been craving tinned sardines and Weetabix Minis – though not at the same time – and had even been to McDonald’s twice.
And speaking of her experience of pregnancy, Ellie told Vogue: “I want a better word than womanly, [but] – I have curves I’ve never had before. I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it.
“I actually went from being smug about how healthy my salads were and my breakfasts and eating nuts and seeds, and then all I wanted was McDonalds.
“And I was kind of terrified, I suddenly wanted all of the bad things! Whatever this baby did when it took over my body was like ‘Hell no—I do not want broccoli, spinach, collards! I just wanted sugar and carbs.'”
Ellie previously explained that she’d managed to keep her pregnancy a secret by covering her growing bump with her husband’s coat “for about six months”.
But she added: “Out on walks, I just kept it covered up. It wasn’t really that hard, though, because of lockdown, I haven’t really seen anyone.”
