Pop superstar Justin Bieber has bagged himself a cameo in the upcoming Friends reunion show.
The Yummy hit-maker, who is riding high in the charts thanks to his latest album Justice, is said to have been given a small acting roll in the heavily hyped special.
Insiders have let slip that Bieber was dressed up in a “ridiculous costume” for the shirt skin.
He is understood to have tried on Ross Geller’s infamous Sputnik potato costume which featured in series eight of the iconic sitcom.
Filming of the special was delayed by three months due to the ongoing pandemic but finally managed to take place early this month.
A TV mole told The Sun: “Justin was honoured to be involved and didn’t mind sending himself up wearing a ridiculous costume.
“It was all run like a military operation to keep details under wraps, and Justin nailed it.”
Bieber has long been a big fan of the show so is understood to have jumped at the chance to take part.
The publication add that the special will see actor Matt Le Blanc recreate a scene where his character Joey tries on all of Chandler’s clothes before performing lunges.
The show is not a new episode but rather a special looking back at the series.
It is the first time that all of the original cast members have taken part.
That means that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer are all involved.
Teasing the plans, an announcement was posted on the official Friends Instagram reading the special has been completed.
The post simply read: “That’s a wrap! Could we BE anymore excited!? Friends: The Reunion is coming to @hbomax.”
The show special is set to air later this year in the US, though no date for the UK has been confirmed.
