Gogglebox fans in hysterics as Jenny admits she once forgot baby daughter outside a shop

Gogglebox fans couldn’t contain themselves this Friday evening, as Jenny Newby told a hilarious story about leaving her baby daughter outside a shop.

The pair were absorbed in an animal documentary in which a baby kangaroo slipped from her mum’s pouch – only to be tragically eaten by a rogue dingo.

Seeing the similarities, Lee quickly turned to Jenny and said: “If Michelle had fallen somewhere, you’d go back for her, wouldn’t you?” as the mother kangaroo kept bounding on to safety, abandoning its joey.

“Aww, I would yeah,” Jenny agreed, as Lee recalled: “Oh, no actually you left her outside a shop didn’t you, for two days?”

“No, not for two days!” Jenny fired back, as Lee said: “Oh, sorry then – a day.”

“No, not that long,” she insisted.

Lee attempted to reassure her as he put in: “But at least you went back for her.”

“No, I never,” Jenny admitted. “They brought her to me. My friend – I was in another shop, and she went, ‘Jenny, have you forgot something?’

“I went, ‘No, what?’ and she said, ‘Where’s Michelle and the pram?!'”

Lee couldn’t contain his hysterics, as Jenny collapsed into giggles beside him.

And fans on Twitter were similarly unable to contain themselves, as one posted: “#Gogglebox you two craic me up! Leaving a kid at the store and you went back, but no you didn’t go back they called you!!”

Someone else giggled: “PMSL @ Jenny leaving her daughter outside the shop and not realising until her friend brought her back!”

“Can’t cope with Jenny tonight. Creased!!” another echoed.

And later in the show, Jenny caused even more havoc as she allowed Lee to fill in her eyebrows – only to have him run out of dye with only one done.

Lee cracked up as Jenny went to look at herself in the mirror with one dark eyebrow and one looking natural.

Taking to social media, one fan wrote: “Jenny’s eyebrows are throwing me back to 12 year old me who thought the bigger the better.”

“Just nearly spat my wine out when I saw Jenny’s eyebrow on Gogglebox!” someone else cackled.

Gogglebox continues next Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
