Holly Willoughby predicts Myleene Klass will be Dancing on Ice 2021 champion

Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby has put her money where her mouth is and predicted that Myleene Klass will named the winner of the 2021 series of the competition.

The latest season of the ITV skating show kicks off on Sunday where six out of the 12 couples will perform for the first time in front of the nation.

Holly, 39, will be back on presenting duty alongside this weekend alongside close friend and This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield.

The pair hosted a virtual press launch on Wednesday with Dancing on Ice legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and Holly couldn’t help but give her thoughts on who she thought was going to be crowned champion this year.

She predicted: “I think Myleene [Klass]. I think she’s got musicality, because she’s a musician, she’s a performer anyway and I just think she’s going to fall in love with it.”

The giggling star added: “That’s my little insider tip which based on nothing by the way.”

Phillip, 57, remained tight-lipped on who he thought could take home the trophy but made it clear that that the popular show will look different this year.

The ITV star explained: “It’s going to be an unusual show.

“There will be no audience as such so that will be peculiar, not so much for us because there will be an audience atmosphere played in our ears, but I’m wondering how weird it will be for the skaters.”

Ice-skating icon Jayne, 63, added: “I think the professional skaters will notice that more.

“As a celebrity for the first show they will be absolutely terrified and maybe it will make them feel a little more comfortable knowing that there isn’t an audience but everyone is different.

“In the past you can tell some celebrities are really egged on by the crowd but others come out and see the audience and look terrified and probably prefer it without.

“It’s going to be interesting to see the responses from the celebrities without there being an audience.”

Denise Van Outen, Rebekah Vardy, Lady Leshurr, Joe-Warren Plant, Jason Donovan and Rufus Hound will all take to the ice this weekend in a bid to impress judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo.

Holly’s favourite Myleene will take to the ice for the first time next weekend alongside Sonny Jay, Billie Shepherd, Colin Jackson, Graham Bell MBE and Faye Brookes.
