Holly Willoughby never fails to up the fashion stakes on This Morning, but the presenter wasn’t happy with her outfit on Wednesday’s show.
The broadcaster, who turned 40 this year, worried she looked like a whale penis after hosting a segment on the mammal’s genitals.
Joined by celeb guest Beverley Turner, Holly and Phillip Schofield discussed claims sightings of the Loch Ness monster have actually been that of a giant whale penis.
Whale penises are similar in shape to the curved spine of Nessie, leading to speculation over the presence of a whale in the lake of Loch Ness.
Research published in a paper in the Archives of Natural History claimed sightings of Nessie’s “serpent-like tail” were actually the penis of a large baleen whale.

The This Morning crew flashed a picture of a whale penis on the screen, comparing it to a blurry snap of Nessie.
However, Holly instantly realised her pink jumper was the exact same colour as the flesh of the enormous whale penis emerging from the sea.
Holding her head in her hands, she joked: “I slightly regret wearing this pink jumper, I’m not going to lie.”
“What are the chances!” her co-star Phillip exclaimed, laughing over the uncanny similarity.

The presenter then waved her arms above her head in the shape of a whale penis, adding: “I’m not going to be putting my arms up and dancing!”
Holly’s chic cashmere jumper is from knitwear brand Pure Collection, woven in soft wool known as Rose Mist and retailing at £120.
The mum-of-three paired the pullover with a peach patterned skirt from high street retailer French Connection, adding some beige suede heels as a finishing touch.

While Holly may have regretted her outfit choice, viewers were smitten over the pale pink colour combination, as they took to social media to praise her sense of style.
One fan wrote: “You look fab as always. Have an amazing Wednesday.”
“That is a very pretty outfit,” added a second, and a third chimed: “Omgg I love this outfit this I’d definitely my favourite so far this week.”
