Katie Price says she's 'disabled for life' and requests Blue Badge after fall

Katie Price has said that she will forever be disabled after breaking both of her feet last year.

The television personality suffered horrific injuries to her feet after falling from a 25-foot wall during a family holiday in the popular resort of Turkey.

Now, the former Page 3 star has spoken of her fears of being “crippled for life” as she is unable to walk for more than 20 minutes a day and can’t wear high-heeled shoes again.

Katie, 42, has revealed that she has applied for a blue badge following the incident, meaning she will be able to park closer to entrances of various places.

“I will never be the same, I’ve had to accept that, but I’m staying positive, the accident has changed my life and it’s only just sunk in if I’m honest,” the beauty queen told The Sun.

Since the accident, Katie feels as though she is being “electrocuted” with pain flashing through her feet on a daily basis, leaving her to “waddle like a duck,” as she attempts to walk.

Katie added: “I’m registered disabled and have got letters from the doctors to certify me for a blue badge, which I’ve sent off for.

“I have to park near the entrances to shops all the time, otherwise it would cripple me to walk from the back of a car park to a shop and back again.”

The mum-of-five continued, saying that following the accident, she is unable to put any pressure on her feet – meaning a simple walk to the car from a supermarket door could leave her in agonising pain.

She is also unable to carry anything or walk up the stairs of her Surrey home due to the severe pain she faces.

The businesswoman has since undergone several rounds of intense surgery in a bid to rebuild her feet but she faces more gruelling surgery in an attempt to re-align her legs.

However, despite her injuries leaving her unable to walk without being in pain, the keen rider is still able to jump into the saddle and head out with her beloved horses.

“Even when I get off a horse I have to be helped to my feet, I can’t jump off because I can’t land on my feet,” she told the publication.

While out spending time with her family, Katie has to be seated in a wheelchair – which was seen during her BBC One documentary, Katie Price: Harvey and Me as she looked around potential colleges for her 18-year-old son.

During the episode, Katie was seen at various times using an electric mobility scooter to get around, as well as crawling around her mansion while remaining independent.
