Little Mix confirm 'break' after 10 years as they announce 'other projects'

Little Mix will be taking a break after ten years of being together, confirm the girl group on Instagram.

The three members left in the groups posted a heartfelt message on their group Instagram account, which has left fans heartbroken across the globe.

The statement read: “We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix.

“It’s been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects.”

They continued: “We can’t thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much.

“We are not splitting up – Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future. We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more.”

“We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever. See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie x”

Fans were quick to jump in to the comment section to support the girls, after months of speculation that they could be parting ways.

One fan wrote: “take as much time as you need, y’all need it, working so hard for years will always be waiting here for y’all”

While another added: “I knew this was gonna happen but I was still NOT prepared”

With Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s first film debut being released this week and Perrie Edward’s fashion label gearing up for its big day – the girls have been busy separately.

This also comes after rumours Jade Thirlwall has been snapped up by a rival record company to go solo in her singing career.

The 28-year-old pop star is apparently following in her former bandmate Jesy Nelson’s footsteps with reports she has been meeting with Atlantic Records about a solo record contract.

A music insider told The Sun: “Jade’s been working super-hard on the new music and those who have heard the tracks say they sound amazing.

“Jade has already met with Sony to talk things through but has really been impressed by Atlantic — and all signs point to her going with them.

They continued: “She has held top-secret talks with them and it’s all really positive.

“It’s well known Little Mix are going on hiatus after their tour next year and it’s no surprise that Jade is already working on solo songs.”
