Louise Redknapp has spoken frankly about raising her two sons during lockdown.
The Eternal babe told Cat Deeley on Tuesday’s edition of Lorraine that homeschooling her boys has been ‘trying’ due to their age.
Louise shared custody of Beau and Charlie with ex Jamie – with both of them keen to put their children first when they split in 2019.
Louise said: “Lockdown has been a trying time. Homeschooling has been interesting, especially with teenagers.
“There are struggles being a mum.
“You suffer with gilt and wanting to do the best for them and questioning yourself.
“Just letting your kids be and grow up and learn their own ways. That’s so important.”
Cat went on to tell her pal Louise than she worries that when her children grow up they won’t to hold her hand.
“The kisses in the car before school does stop but it does come back,” Louise reassured her SM:TV Live co-star.
“My eldest Charlie is very proud to give me a big hug now but it goes full circle. It’s all good. I promise.”
Insisting her pop star status has done her nothing to help her when it comes to her children, Louise laughed: “I am not the cool mum. To them I am just mum.
“We see music videos and TV but when I come indoors I’m in a tracksuit and hair in a messy bun screaming up the stairs for them to come down and eat the dinner I have cooked.
“To them I am just their mum.”
Confirming she’s working on a new album, Louise added:”I do like to play them my music.
“Sometimes it goes down well and sometimes not at all.
“I am writing in the studio over Zoom. There will be new music defiantly. I’m just loving it as you can imagine.”
