Former Love Islander Olivia Attwood has spotted an “unfortunate” mistake Faye Winter made on last night’s (August 17) explosive episode.
Arguments erupted on the most recent episode over a controversial vote among the islanders about which couple was the least compatible.
To lighten the mood, the contestants took part in The Love Island Talent Show 2021 – but the controversy didn’t stop there.
Faye, who had been at the heart of the fiery clashes during the day, decided to perform a roast, which saw her criticise the other islanders for laughs.
Fans were quick to spot the similarities with an earlier series, when Olivia Attwood and Amber Davies first decided to use their performance slot to “roast” other contestants.

One viewer’s tweet said: “ironic that Faye laid into Jake for copying Kem, when she did a roast – exactly the same as Olivia Attwood did”
This was soon picked up by the former 2015 Love Island star herself.
Speaking on the show’s official podcast, Love Island: The Morning After, Olivia labelled Faye’s decision to perform a roast “unfortunate”.
She said: “I have actually been trying to be very diplomatic this series, she’s not trying to copy me, she just has a few similarities.
“Just because of all the things she’s been accused of I think it’s unfortunate that was the talent she chose.
“It doesn’t help her develop her own character with the viewers.”
Former contestant – and now host of the official Love Island podcast – Kem Cetinay agreed.
“With a roast, it can either be funny or it can get a bit nasty. It’s so thin, it’s so hard to do it.” he explained.
However, he suggested that Olivia “did a very good job” when she roasted fellow islanders on the 2015 series.
The podcast’s other host Arielle Free was also unsure about Faye’s decision to bring the day’s arguments into the talent show.
“It was nasty in parts, but was it okay because it was a roast? I don’t know,” she said.
Viewers commenting on social media were similarly uncertain.
One tweeted: “Faye’s roast was so uncomfortable to watch I’m still recovering.”
Another commented: “Not a comedy roast. Please Faye. You’ve scorched this villa enough.”
