Love Island’s Liberty Poole is coming to the villa armed with hair supplies, the Brummie bombshell has revealed.
Liberty, 21, opened up about the makeover she underwent before heading off to Mallorca with ITV2, in advance of the series launch later this month.
While the Nando’s waitress usually wears her hair in a shade of platinum blonde, the lockdown – and the closure of hair salons – meant her roots had turned brunette.
Discussing her transformation with Daily Star and assorted press, the marketing student admitted she is determined to maintain her honey blonde locks on the show.
On top of that, Liberty has been working out more frequently to keep fit ahead of the launch, with the Love Island villa stocked with its own gym.
“I got my lockdown roots done obviously so I was starting to go more brunette than blonde,” she said.
“So I had to get them done obviously. And I guess I’ve just been doing exercise here and there.”
Taking pride in her hair, Liberty is concerned the heat of Spanish island could wreak havoc with her professionally dyed barnet.
“I do have extensions in, so like my hair is like my pride and joy,” she said.
“Obviously, as you know, sometimes with the sun coming into contact with your hair it can go pink or orange. But I’ve literally got purple shampoo, I’ve got argan oil.
“I literally got everything I could possibly bring with me to maintain it.”
While Liberty isn’t afraid to push the boundaries when it comes to her hair, she prefers to take a more natural approach to the rest of her appearance.
She said: “In regards to plastic surgery or anything I’m quite happy with the way I look so I wouldn’t get anything done.
“Obviously if people do get plastic surgery to make them feel more confident, then good for them – obviously everyone has their own choice.”
The university student is hoping to find love on the show, with certain cast members from seasons’ past catching her eye. “
“I think like going off looks, purely looks-wise, Alex Bowen was quite hot,” she said.
“But if you’re going personality-wise I’d be attracted to like Jack Fincham or Nathan from series two – that’s my type personality-wise.”
With a self-confessed tendency to attract “players,” Liberty is hoping the Love Island casting agents can find her the man of her dreams.
