Married At First Sight UK fans are certain they’ve worked out a potential romance twist after spotting shock compatibility between Nikita Jasmine and Josh Christie.
Josh appeared on Thursday night’s episode of the show, matched up with Amy Christophers.
Nikita, meanwhile, was introduced on Monday night, and paired off with Ant Poole – but tensions were high between the pair as they exchanged heated words on their honeymoon.
34-year-old Amy broke down in tears on Thursday as she recalled her tragic losses in the past, having suffered a miscarriage and been dumped by her fiancé.
A tearful Amy admitted that after her mum recently suffered a stroke, she really wants the “support system” of a family around her.
Josh, meanwhile, was in his 20s – and admitted he’d been a “player” but was ready to settle down, admitting: “I’ve completed the player lifestyle.”
Fans are sure the two aren’t compatible – but Josh could meet his match in Nikita.
Taking to Twitter, a swarm of fans posted their predictions, with one writing: “OK so who else thinks Josh and Nikita will get it on?”
Someone else wrote: “Can we not pair this guy with Nikita and Ant with lovely Amy?!”
“Already I feel like Ant and Amy may have been a better match. Nikita and Josh I think would suit better too!” another fan theorised.
While a fourth posted: “Nikita and Josh will be this season’s ‘affair’, I’m calling it!”
“What’s the betting that Nikita is going to hook up with Josh? #MAFSUK,” another mused.
It wouldn’t be the first time an affair featured on the show, after Jessika Power and Dan Webb started getting it on during the Australian edition of Married At First Sight.
Jessika had been matched with Mick Gould in the second episode of the programme, while Dan arrived with partner Tamara Joy later on in the series.
In a shock commitment ceremony, Jessika admitted she’d been cheating on her hubby, admitting: “I came in here wanting to find somebody that I could build a life with.
“Somebody who makes me happy and somebody who makes me feel confident, and I found that. But it’s not with Mick… it’s with Dan.”
Meanwhile, UK expert psychologist Mel Schilling has been brought in to “sex up” our edition of the show, promising there’s plenty of drama in store for the future.
Speaking to The Sun, Mel was asked whether there will be rows, scandals and cheating in this year’s MAFS.
She responded: “All I can say is yes, to all of the above. You’ll be surprised. It’s changing a lot. The most major change is the group dynamic.
“That didn’t exist previously and is an integral part of this experiment. Different couples compare themselves and make decisions as a team. It’s fascinating.”
Married At First Sight continues tomorrow at 9pm on E4.
