Thomas Markle Jr has apologised to his estranged sister Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry in a letter to hopefully rectify their public feud.
The star has written a response letter to the Duchess and Duke of Sussex while appearing on Australia’s version of Big Brother which addressed his previous public outburst before they married in 2018.
In his previous letter, the Big Brother star failed to mince his words and labelled his sister a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman”.
However he’s now appeared to have changed his tune in a scene that played out on screen in the latest episode of the Australian reality show.
Thomas Jr said: “The first thing I want to say to both of you is that I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart for the awful mean letter that I wrote to you prior to your wedding.

“And I want both of you to know it did not come from the real person that I am, but came from a very dark and hurt part of my heart … I am not a mean person at all, and I have more love inside me to give than anything.”
He added: “The letter was definitely written out of me feeling like really like hurt and confused when I was informed of your response that I was distant family and that you did not know those people.
“I was very hurt and confused because of the amazing bond and relationship we shared growing up together and all I could do was put up a defence wall to protect my heart.”

Before entering the Big Brother compound, Thomas Jr expressed that he is certain that his sister will watch his stint on the show. He also believes the Queen will too.
He said: “I think even the Queen will watch it.
“I am 100 per cent sure Meghan and Harry will watch it. One could only hope she would want to see how her brother is doing.”
Thomas Jr, his sister Samantha, and their father Thomas Markle have no contact with the Duchess of Sussex, according to reports.
However, Meghan’s father has often spoken frankly about his relationship with Meghan and has expressed that he would love to meet his grandchildren, who doesn’t live too far away from him.

Last month, Thomas spoke candidly to presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain and claimed that his daughter has “disowned” both sides of her family.
He also claimed that his daughter started acting differently when she met Harry.
“She’s never been that way before and once she hooked up with Harry, she changed,” he said.
“I understand that she hooked up with Soho Club and a different group of people, but she’s pretty much disowned both sides of her family, and I don’t understand the reason for it.”
