Piers Morgan calls Oprah an 'enabler' for 'unhinged' Prince Harry in new attack

Piers Morgan has launched another blistering attack at Prince Harry by calling Oprah Winfrey an ‘enabler’ for an “unhinged” duke.

The former Good Morning Britain star suggested the US TV host didn’t care about the damage the interviews are were doing to the mental health of the royal family.

It comes after Prince Harry accused The Firm of “total neglect” when he sought help for the abuse he and his wife Meghan Markle were experiencing as senior royals.

He also declared that he wouldn’t be “bullied” as he went over the trauma he went through as a child, including mourning the death of his mum, Diana, the Princess of Wales.

In the new series, The Me You Can’t See, with Oprah, the Duke of Sussex opened up about his mental health and attempts to get assistance from his family over attacks the pair were receiving online.

He said: “Every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, to stop just got met with total silence or total neglect.”

Lashing out at Oprah, Piers furiously tweeted this evening: “At what point does Oprah’s hugely lucrative enabling of unhinged Prince Harry’s constant assaults on the Royal Family become ‘problematic’ – and does she care about the damage it may be doing to the mental health of Harry’s relatives, or don’t they count?”

This isn’t the first time the former presenter has hit out at the Sussexes.

Earlier in the day, he told his 7.9million followers on Twitter that someone should ‘drop a silence bomb’ on the prince, and was met with backlash.

He wrote: “Can someone drop a silence bomb on the little berk?

“His constant whining is damaging my mental health”.

But users responded with criticism over the Duke bravely speaking out over his mental health.

One user wrote: “So you’re saying he should remain in silence? Great message to send to others who deal with mental health issues.”

It comes as Oprah defended Meghan and Harry for speaking out against The Firm despite moving across the Atlantic for a more private life.

While on the Today show, the star suggested the Sussexes “deserve” to “not be intruded and invaded upon.”

She said: “You know, I ask for privacy, and I’m talking all the time. So I think being able to have a life that you are not intruded upon by photographers, or people flying overhead, or invading your life, is what every person wants and deserves — to not to be intruded and invaded upon.

“That’s what people are missing. Privacy doesn’t mean silence.”

During the Apple TV series, released on Friday, May 21, Harry spoke of fearing ‘history repeating itself’ and he would lose the Duchess of Sussex like his mother.

He also worried that he’d have to raise his son, Archie, alone.
