Piers Morgan has got himself in yet another Twitter spat and he certainly didn’t hold back when it came to former Coronation Street star Sean Ward.
The journalist and former Good Morning Britain presenter commented on the anti-vax protest that happened earlier this week in London.
Sean Ward, who played Callum Logan in the legendary ITV soap for a year from 2014 to 2015, took part in the anti-vax protest.
The 33-year-old actor was one of the thousands who tried to march through the TV studios at the Television Centre in London.
Piers, 56, called Sean a “clown” for taking part in the protests and calling those involved “imbeciles”.
However, the soap actor could be seen stopping the protestors from clashing with the police.
He could be heard shouting “stop” to those involved and putting his arm out.
The journalist then retweeted the clip of the protestors and the raid.
Alongside the video was the original tweet, which read: “NOW – Protest outside BBC Television Centre in West London.”
The Television Centre is home to ITV shows such as This Morning, Loose Women, and the breakfast show Good Morning Britain.
Piers re-tweeted the post, adding: “It’s ITV’s HQ now, you imbeciles.”
Sean then hit back at the news journalist’s tweet and replied: “Sorry what was that Piers?!? Imbeciles?!?”
He then tweeted that the protest crowd was “worried mothers and fathers” with the actor using an emoji to call Piers a “silly old clown”.
The protest was to do with the introduction of vaccine passports as well as getting children vaccinated.
It comes as Sean was called out for telling his followers not to get the Covid-19 vaccine.
In March, he told his 178k Instagram followers to “stop” having it and that they would be “super-spreaders” if they had it done.
Earlier this week, statistics revealed that three-quarters of adults in the UK have had both Covid jabs.
Meanwhile, there are currently preparations being made in the UK for an Autumn booster jab from next month.
