Earlier this year, the outspoken presenter who famously stormed off the set of GMB, announced that he would host a brand new show under Rupert Murdoch’s cooperation.

The programme will be his first major new presenting job since leaving ITV’s Good Morning Britain in March.

Speaking about his new role, Piers previously expressed: “Rupert Murdoch has been a constant and fearless champion of free speech and we are going to be building something new and very exciting together.

“I want my global show to be a fearless forum for lively debate and agenda-setting interviews, and a place that celebrates the right of everyone to have an opinion, and for those opinions to be vigorously examined and challenged.”

In addition to his new show, the broadcaster will become a columnist for The Sun and The New York Post.

Earlier this month, Piers announced that he will be leaving his positon as Daily Mail.

Writing one of his last articles for the publication, he penned: “This is my final diary before I head off to new televisual and literary pastures with my old boss Rupert Murdoch.”

He added: “But for now, I’d just like to say a sincere thanks to all my regular readers for putting up with my humungous ego, and to the wonderful MoS staff who’ve ensured the often-absurd vagaries of my life are at least presented in a grammatically correct manner.

“Especially, our chief sub-editor, Nick Bagot, who very sadly has died recently aged just 50. Nick sub-edited my very first column back in October 2006, and worked on most of them ever since, even after he fell ill.”
