Prince Harry has compared his life to Jim Carrey film The Truman Show in a new podcast.
The prince appeared on the podcast to discuss mental health, growing up with privilege and his time serving in the military.
Speaking to actor Dax Shephard, Harry admitted his life could be likened to the 1998 Jim Carrey movie.
Dax told Harry: “You’re in the tiniest in group of all time, there’s the whole country and then there’s you guys.
“You’re standing in one direction and the whole world is standing in another direction looking at you. I was likening it to The Truman Show – have you seen that movie?” he queried.
To which Harry responded: “Yep, yep. It’s a mix between The Truman Show and living in a zoo.”
Dax continued: “I’ve said that to people in public – you’re not at the f***ing zoo and I’m not a bear!”
“I’m not the attraction,” Harry chipped in.
“You were kind of cast into a movie without being asked,” Dax elaborated.
“I think the biggest issue for me was that being born into it, you inherit the risk,” the Duke said. “You inherit the risk that comes with it, you inherit every element without a choice.
“I think it’s a really dangerous place to be if you don’t have a choice,” he added.
The Truman Show came out in 1998 and starred Jim Carrey as the titular character Truman Burbank, who is born on a TV programme and lives out his life unaware he is being watched by an audience of millions.
Harry also discussed the leaking of his naked pictures in Las Vegas back in 2012.
The Duke of Sussex was also teased about naked photographs of him which leaked from Las Vegas in 2012.
Harry joked that the images were “relatable”, adding that they were taken a few weeks before he left for military service in Afghanistan.
