Dustin Diamond is reportedly “in a lot of pain” as he undergoes treatment for Stage Four cancer, days after his sudden hospitalisation in Florida.
The actor, 44, who is best known for his role as Screech in the beloved 90s comedy series Saved By The Bell, was rushed to hospital on January 13.
It later emerged Dustin had been diagnosed with cancer, with his representative confirming the actor would disclose more information about his condition in the weeks to come.
The Californian screen star is reportedly trying to keep his spirits up as he undergoes chemotherapy, though the treatment, at times, can leave him in “tears”.
According to Us Weekly, a source close to the actor said: “It’s not good, it’s not good at all. He’s going to be in the hospital for a while. He’s getting through his treatments now. It’s tough, it’s very hard.

“He’s going through a lot of pain, but he still keeps his spirits up. Right now, he’s just suffering.
“He has his ups and downs where he’s great one minute, but then he can be in a lot of pain — tears. It’s such an emotional time.”
The source added Dustin’s girlfriend, and other members of his “close circle,” have stayed by his side since his hospitalisation.
Daily Star has contacted Dustin’s representatives for comment.

Dustin began acting as a child, landing his breakout role as Samuel “Screech” Powers on Saved By The Bell at the age of 12.
The original show wrapped in the early 90s, but Dustin appeared in its various spin-offs, including Saved by the Bell: The New Class and Saved by the Bell: The College Years.
Later in life, he formed a metal band known as Salty The Pocketknife, playing the bass, though the group subsequently split due to disagreements between its members.
Over the years, Dustin has appeared on a number of reality shows, from the 12th series of Celebrity Big Brother to Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling.

It read: “At this time we can confirm that Dustin does have cancer.
“Dustin will disclose more information once it is available and a plan moving forward is made.”
