Sky News’ Kay Burley has been seen volunteering at a food charity in London, two months after it was revealed she had been suspended from her duties.
It comes after the broadcaster announced there would be an internal investigation following reports Kay and her work pals breached coronavirus guidelines on a night out.
Kay, 60, had allegedly breached the rules by partying with nine friends at the swanky Century Club in Soho, London, going against the rule of six.
It’s claimed she, along with colleagues, then continued their evening at Folie, a private restaurant before heading back to Burley’s home.
Following the fallout, Kay took to social media saying she was “embarrassed” to say she “inadvertently broke the rules” for using a bathroom inside a restaurant after the outing.

Now, a video of Kay has been shared across social media which sees her offering her time to London’s Community Kitchen, packing and distributing meals to the local community who may be in need.
In a video shared to the charity’s Facebook page, Kay is seen wearing a high-viz jacket and face-covering while she reveals that the centre offers a wide range of essential items for the community who may have fallen on hard times.

A spokesperson for the London Community Kitchen told the Daily Mail: “Kay is a very, very strong, grounded person – she really is passionate about what she’s doing.
“She does come two to three times a week and she spends the best part of a full day here.”
He added that when people lining up spot Kay behind the table, they are often “shocked”, adding that it lifts the mood of the community.

Kay who is also volunteering at a vaccine centre, apologised for her actions in a statement shared on December 7, saying: “I want to apologise to you all for an error of judgment. On Saturday night I was enjoying my 60th birthday at a Covid-compliant restaurant. I am embarrassed to say that later in the evening I inadvertently broke the rules.
“I had been waiting for a taxi at 11pm to get home. Desperate for the loo, I briefly popped into another restaurant to spend a penny. I can only apologise.”
A later statement which was shared by Sky News read: “A small number of Sky News staff attended a social event in London on Saturday evening during which Covid-19 guidelines were breached.
“As a result of an internal review Sky News presenter Kay Burley has agreed to be off air for six months, and political editor Beth Rigby and correspondent Inzamam Rashid have agreed to be off air for three months.
“All those involved regret the incident and have apologised.”
Kay later tweeted that she had agreed to “step back” for a “period of reflection.”
