Strictly Come Dancing's Judi Love becomes fifth celeb to be eliminated

Judi Love and partner Graziano Di Prima have been given the boot from Strictly Come Dancing, making them the fifth couple to hang up their dancing shoes.

The Loose Women star found herself in the dance-off alongside Olympian Adam Peaty who performed a Viennese waltz to Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven.

Opting for a fun dance instead of spooky, this was the dance that the pair had prepared for last week, but wasn’t able to perform due to Judi testing positive for Covid-19.

Sadly for Judi, her dance only managed to score her 25 points out of a grand total of 40 leaving her vulnerable.

After the tense dance-off, the judging panel reached a majority vote, deciding that 26-year-old Adam and partner Katya Jones should remain in the competition.

“I have a personal preference and that personal preference, on their dance tonight, is Adam and Katya,” said Craig Revel Horwood.

While Motsi Mabuse added: “The decision was made for me and so I have to say that the couple that I will be saving is Adam and Katya.”

The pair danced an upbeat routine, although fans thought they had an ‘unfair advantage’

Anton Du Beke added: “The couple who pushed through with their routine in a stronger way is Adam and Katya.”

Head judge Shirley also revealed she would have saved Adam and Katya.

Following her departure, Judi told Tess Daly that it had been a “life-changing experience”.

“Graziano has supported me, stuck by me, and took me to a place I never thought I could go and so, for that, I love you so much. Thank you,” she said.

“She is one of the strongest women I’ve ever met, this woman has been in rehearsal every day, for every dance, given me 150%, and you know what I love the most – you are true, you are real, so thank you so much,” said Graziano.

Their elimination came after fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts about their “unfair advantage”.

One disgruntled fan took to Twitter and wrote: “I like Judi but it’s a bit unfair she gets to the dance she was supposed to do last week? Ugo and Tom moved on to a new dance.”

Another made their point: “I think it’s because Judi spent four days learning her dance before going into isolation. I don’t think it’s unfair at all.”

The social media user continued: “She’s stronger in Latin so this could be her best week yet,” but they were wrong.
