Strictly Come Dancing stars Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice looked happier than ever as they departed the It Takes Two studio together.
There had been particular emphasis on the dancing duo this week after they almost topped the leaderboard with their “break-up dance” on Saturday.
Many fans believed that Giovanni, 31, had given a secret nod to his recent relationship break-down with Love Island star Maura Higgins.
Having blown the judges away with their believable rendition, they were full of smiles after appearing on the spin-off show with host Rylan Clark.
The EastEnders actress, who is now tipped to take home the glitterball trophy, showed off her slender figure in a long sleeved and fitted floral dress.
The professional dancer had pulled out all of the stops with his own attire as he donned a dapper bright green suit.
Showing their unity, Gio even wore a tie that matched Rose’s colourful frock.
Last weekend, Rose and the Strictly pro danced to Alicia Key’s 2009 hit Fallin’ which saw the pair tell a story about a rocky relationship through movement and sign language.
In the emotional routine, the couple pushed each other away before returning for a moment of passion and earning themselves their first 10 score.
Judge Shirley Ballas had to fight back tears as she became overwhelmed, telling the duo that their performance had brought back memories of “all [her] ex-husbands”.
She added: “All the saying ‘go away’, ‘no come here’, it took me back.”
However for viewers who had been watching at home, it seemed evident that the Giovanni had seemingly acknowledged a tumultuous relationship split.
Many took to Twitter to point out his recent split from Love Island star Maura.
One Tweet read: “Interesting concept considering Gio just split with Maura.”
Another asked: “Was Giovanni describing his relationship with Maura?”
Just days ago, the BBC dancer explained in a statement that there had been “no wrong doing” on either his or Maura’s part.
The lengthy statement read: “Hey guys – I hope everybody had a great Monday. Going into another wonderful training week – thank you so much for your amazing messages and your support this weekend,”
“I get to live my dream every single day because of you – so thank you, thank you, thank you. I wanted to say a couple of things…
“Firstly, great relationships with great people can come to a natural end. This has been the case for me recently. There was absolutely no wrong-doing and this should be the end of any speculation.”
He added: “Whilst I respect and understand interest in my personal life, wouldn’t it be fantastic to instead use this space to raise awareness of subjects and issues which need the attention.
“My eyes have been opened to so many things during my career. But I am learning so much from this series of Strictly.
“The show has highlighted many important conversations for different communities and increased representation.”
Signing off, he finished: “These are the conversations which deserve the time, energy and recognition. We must concentrate on what’s important and how we can all make a difference in life. Gio x.”
