Strictly Come Dancing favourite Rose Ayling-Ellis is pushing through an injury as she prepares two dances for the semi-final.
The 27-year-old actress, who plays Frankie Lewis in EastEnders, hurt her hip after falling multiple times onto crash mats as she rehearsed for the American Smooth for last weekend.
Giovanni Pernice choreographed a daring “leap of faith” move that saw Rose jump through the air into his arms during their recent spectacular performance on the BBC show.
Recalling the tricky moment on Strictly’s It Takes Two, Rose told host Janette Manrara that she originally learned the dramatic dance move via watching a video.
The pair then took the move to the dance floor using mats to soften the fall but quickly realised that “the pressure” was hurting more.
“I’ve got a big bruise on my hip,” Rose said on the Strictly spin-off show.
Giovanni added: “It’s one of those that you have to nail it. Something can go very wrong if you can’t catch her.”
It comes after Rose revealed the secret to how she dances without hearing – counting.
Thesoap star has been dazzling viewers with her performances on the BBC ballroom show and a lot of people see her and her pro partner Giovanni as frontrunners.
Many viewers have been left in awe by the way Rose masters the moves despite being unable to hear music, and she has now shared that she counts in her head.
Speaking to The Times, she said: “Because I am not a hearing person, I don’t really know what I am comparing it to.
“What I do know is that you can hear where noise comes from. I don’t have that.
“Also you can filter out background noise, which I can’t. The noise is all in one and is indistinct.”
Giovanni has previously said he gives Rose the count and that she then has to memorise it.

During some segments of their routines, Giovanni conveys the timing to the 27-year-old actress.
It is, he says, like “conducting an orchestra”.
“If you go out just a little bit, then you are out of the music,” he said.
Rose, who is the first deaf contestant on Strictly, has been a big hit with viewers and many are pulling for her to win the coveted Glitterball trophy.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday night on BBC One
