The Chase contestant hailed as one of the ITV show's 'best ever' players by Paul Sinha

The Chase star Paul Sinha was left gobsmacked at one contestants performance during the latest edition of the ITV quiz show.

The Sinnerman told hopeful Lindsay that he was one one of the best players the show has ever had.

Scottish born 65-year-old Lindsay from Fife, a former GP, who now has his own Break and Breakfast business, absolutely dominated in Wednesday’s episode of the Chase, with him getting nearly every question right in the final round.

Bradley Walsh guided Joe, Lindsay, and Katie in the final chase where they played for £17k and had a score of 19, despite being one contestant down – Mandy, who had been caught.

However, it was standout star Lindsay, who received a round of applause, as his dominance in the final chase saw him not only get five questions in a row right but single-handily lead with securing the most money and points for the team.

Lindsay’s performance had taken Twitter by storm, with the contestant receiving many tweets about how brilliantly he played.

One fan tweeted: “It’s The Chase vs Lindsay, wow he absolutely smashed it and should be so proud.”

It was the Sinnerman who was victorious in the final chase

Another fan branded Lindsay as a ‘machine’. They said: “Lindsay is an absolute machine – one of the best contestants ever on The Chase.”

Unfortunately, in the final Chase it was The Sinnerman who was victorious against the final three contestants – Lindsay, Joe and Katie.

In nail-biting scenes, The Sinnerman was etching closer and closer to reaching his goal of 19 questions, with him hitting the target in the last 2 seconds despite having three setbacks – which had all been answered by Lindsay.

The three contestants unfortunately went home empty handed

After he caught the players, Bradley Walsh broke a stunned audience silence, raising how gutted he was for three finalists, particularly Lindsay, as they all could’ve bagged £5,666 each of the overall £17k prize pot.

Paul said:”And Lindsay know whatever happens now you are undoubtedly one of the best final chase players I have ever played.”

Many fans were fuming with The Sinerman’s overall victory and vowed how Lindsay deserved the money.
