James Argent showed off his amazing weight loss as he soaked up the sun in Marbella.
The 33-year-old TOWIE star has been living it up on holiday in Spain and took to Instagram to post a sweet snap with his close friend Elliot Wright’s son Billy.
Reality star James could be seen rocking his new trimmed-down figure as he sat with young Billy on his lap after a swim, sporting a pair of blue swimming trunks.
Alongside the photo, James penned: “The cutest boy in the world & our ray of sunshine, little Billy,
“@elliottwright_ & @sadiestuartx have had the toughest year ever but he keeps them going & smiling everyday!
“I’m having the most amazing time with the people I love & can’t wait to perform at another sold out @olivias_la_cala Tonight.”
It comes after James underwent a radical health kick in order to change his life – after reaching a “scary” 27 stone in weight.
James, also known as ‘Arg’, opened up about his weight gain, explaining that he got bigger during the coronavirus pandemic when gyms and pools were closed – and indulged in binge eating in a bid to cope.
However, the star has now planned to lose as much weight as he can, and he appears to have a new lease of life.
He decided to opt for gastric sleeve surgery in a bid to lose weight, and he looked healthier as he enjoyed his time in the Spanish coastal town.
An inside source recently told The Sun: “James has never felt better in his life and the weight has dropped off far more quickly than he ever expected.
“It’s made him realise he can lose even more weight so he plans to just go for it. The only downside is he is having to buy a whole new wardrobe.”
James admitted that he had struggled to look at himself in the mirror after he put on weight, and felt “horrible” about his appearance.
He said: “It felt horrible, I was always extremely uncomfortable, I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror,” he said.
“It felt depressing and it just wasn’t me. Now I’m starting to feel like myself again and I’m excited about what the future is going to bring.”
“It was scary being 27 stone… It was serious, doctors were telling me how dangerous it was… I knew it was something I had to address pretty quickly.”
