One woman’s racy sex diary, which was discovered by her husband, was the inspiration behind Netflix drama Sex/Life.
BB Easton’s sex life had hit a dry spell after eight years of marriage and two children.
In an attempt to relight the fire that the monotony of her marriage had extinguished, she began writing about her most passionate romps with various exes in a dirty diary.
But after she typed up a memoir of her saucy past encounters on her computer, it was unwittingly discovered by her hubby.
Thankfully, he didn’t let jealousy overwhelm him, and instead decided to improve his sex skills with the intention of giving his wild-child wife the satisfaction she craved.
And now her escapades has been adapted into a hit Netflix show, Sex/Life – the most watched show on the streaming service this week.
Chock full of full frontal nudity and graphic sex scenes, the rompathon is based on BB’s diary, published into a book entitled 44 Chapters About 4 Men.
The memoir details relationships between BB and kinkster Knight, which initially sparked her sexual awakening.
She also had passionate affairs with stoner Harley, aspiring rock star Hans and finally, accountant husband – named Cooper Connelly in the show and portrayed by Mike Vogel.
L Word actress Sarah Shahi, meanwhile, plays BB-based character Billie Connelly in the Netflix show.
BB told The Sun: “I included every graphic detail because why not? It was just a little diary. It was fun and real.”
Speaking about her husband, BB elaborated: “I had a super-stressful job at the time. My husband had a career as well, and our relationship was just completely put on the back-burner.
“My husband is not an adventurous guy. He’s an accountant. He’s very vanilla, very straight-laced.”
But eventually, her hubby upped his game and eventually began copying her exes’ moves, and now BB says readers “fangirl all over him”.
BB said the TV show is the “sexiest thing I’ve ever seen”, and though only loosely based on her encounters, the producers “had stuff that makes [her] blush”.
And fans are already enamoured with the series, taking to Twitter in droves to show their love for Billie and Cooper.
“Billie is playing with fire and I’m here for it!” one wrote while streaming the first series.

“Cooper is husband material!” someone else chimed in, as a third fan penned: “I’m living for #SexLife.”
Some fans are even begging for on-screen co-stars and off-screen lovers Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos, who plays Brad in the show, to “stop dating” in an attempt to secure a second season.
Attaching a snap of the two cuddled up together, one Twitter user wrote: “Y’all need to stop dating, because if y’all break up, there won’t be a season 2! #SexLife.”
