BBC Breakfast host Jon Kay was left speechless after weather presenter Carol Kirkwood hit back at claims she never calls him.
During Tuesday’s (December 20) instalment of the morning programme, Carol was taking UK viewers through the weather reports of the day, explaining that flood warnings were still apparent in some part of the country.
The presenter, 60, went on to discuss the forecast for Wednesday (December 21) before telling viewers to head to the BBC weather app if they are keen to find out what the weather is going to be like on Christmas Day.

Sally Nugent noted that Carol did this on purpose in a bid to stop Jon from asking her if the UK will be lucky enough to get a white Christmas.
“I like the way you did that Carol! Just to stop Jon asking you again what the weather’s going to be like on Christmas day. Very clever!,” Sally joked.
Carol chimed in: “I know what he’s like, Sal! I’ve got his number in more ways than one!”
Giggling away, Sally responded: “Exactly, we both do!,” before Jon claimed: “But you never call me?”
Not holding back, Carol told him: “You know what Jon, there’s a reason for that!”
“I was just going to say the same thing,” added Sally before the weather presenter joked: “Are you going to ask me if it’s going to be a white Christmas?”
The BBC stars were all in high spirits as they continued laughing away before Jon introduced the next segment.
Laughing together on screen has become a habit for the trio as only last week, Carol couldn’t resist throwing a sarcastic comment in Jon’s direction when he asked her about the cold weather that was plaguing the UK at the time.
Jon asked: “Is it quite unusual that so much of the UK is hit by this cold weather? It seems like pretty much everyone is getting it at the same time.”
Carol snapped back: “Well you’ve got to remember that it is winter, Jon, which of course I know you do. But we certainly are way below the average temperatures so yes, it is quite unusual.”
Adding insult to injury, she added: “But we expect cold weather, of course, in the winter.”
