BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty stops show to make cheeky dig at Carol Kirkwood's dress

BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty couldn’t help making a cheeky on-air dig at her co-star Carol Kirkwood’s dress.

BBC’s resident weather star Carol had just been telling viewers all about what weather conditions they could expect from they day when she got a surprise intervention from her co-star Naga.

Carol got the grilling on her outfit as she handed the reigns back over to main hosts Naga and Charlie Stayt on Friday’s show (March 11).

Signing off her weather report, Carol said: “Tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) we could have gusts to gailforce across south-west England, and also south Wales, as much as 70 miles an hour for Cornwall, and Isles of Scilly.

“Something to watch out for, Naga and Charlie…”

Naga replied: “Definitely something watch out for,” but she then teased her colleague Carol about her glam navy dress with white spots on it.

She quipped: “Carol, I’m very pleased there are no snow flurries over the west of England, cos if there were you’d look like a floating head.”

Seemingly sarcastically, Carol replied: “Thank you, Naga.”

Naga replied: “Pleasure, Carol. See you later,”, before both her and Carol laughed about the moment.

Carol recently updated fans on her fitness regime, but apparently the expert didn’t stick to her commitment.

Last month, she wrote on Twitter: “Where did January go? I was supposed to be getting fit!”

She explained she had been taking part in Her Spirit’s February walking challenge, which involves walking 150 minutes a week before completing a long walk at the end of the month.

Carol said: “I’m taking part in Feet First February to GET WALKING!!! It’s only for 150 mins a week with a long walk at the end of Feb. Join us?”

Kirkwood has been presenting the weather on BBC Breakfast since 1997.
