Britney Spears fans have accused her of “throwing shade” at Selena Gomez.
The singer, 40, took to her Instagram and uploaded a clip of her dancing in a white crop top and tiny black shorts which she described as a “new edit” of her dance to her hit single S.O.S.
The pop princess paraded her famous figure as she put on quite the show for her fans, repeatedly twirling with her signature locks down and crimped.

But her 42 million followers were more concerned with the snap that came after the dance which was a photo of Selena Gomez from her Dazed Magazine shoot in 2020.

Flocking to the comments, thousands of users accused Britney of “bullying” and “shading” the former Disney Channel star.
One wrote: “Britney is obsessed with Selena and I truly relate.”
“Britney is bullying Selena at this point,” penned a second as someone else added: “Stop shading Selena.”
“Stop the bullying against Selena! She doesn’t deserve it,” fumed another as a fourth questioned: “Why are you so obsessed w Selena.”
“This is creepy af,” exclaimed another while someone else wrote: “Y do u keep posting this Selena video? So shady lol.”
In a now-deleted Instagram post that was shared in July of this year, Britney gushed over the 30-year-old who attended her wedding to Sam Asghari.
Underneath a snap of herself alongside Selena and Drew Barrymore, she tagged the duo as well as Paris Hilton and called them “the three most beautiful women in Hollywood.”
She then referenced the Monte Carlo actress specifically, writing: “I appreciate ALL the mental health speeches she does for our generation … Two hour specials with representatives … You’re such a special person and I had to share this picture.”
However since then, it seems something went on between the pair as they unfollowed each other on Instagram last month.
