Carol Vorderman took to social media to warn fans about online “trolls” making fake accounts pretending to be her.
The former Countdown star, 61, sent an urgent message to her 215k Instagram followers about the alleged imposters – who have been contacting the star’s fans and pretending to be the numbers whizz.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday (March 16), concerned Carol said: “QUICK WARNING. Getting lots of messages saying that there are MANY fake accounts contacting them pretending to be me.
“THIS and @vordersvan ARE THE ONLY OFFICIAL ACCOUNTS.[sic]”
Hitting back at the trolls, she wrote: “All the others are trolls… soz”
Vorderman is not the only TV star to suffer from fake account trolls, as Channel 5’s famous family The Radfords also warned fans about imposters.
The family-of-22, who star in the show 22 Kids and Counting, have over 1 million fans across their Facebook and Instagram pages.
A post on the family’s official Instagram account, which is normally ran by mum Sue Radford, told fans about the problem.
It read: “Just been going through our messages and just want to say please do not accept any friend requests from any other accounts.
“I do not have Facebook and haven’t had it for a very long time and any other accounts that are not verified are not us.
It concluded: “We just have one Facebook – The Radford Family – and one Insta which is the same.”
Carol has been dazzling fans with her ageless figure, and she’s been treating them to plenty of snaps from her adventures.
Last week, the TV presenter shared a slew of sizzling snaps, one of which saw her modelling a figure-hugging navy blue bodysuit in the mirror.
The eye-popping outfit featured an eye-popping zip and certainly showed off her gym-toned body.
It came when Carol was ready to support her favourite Rugby team Wales, who took on France in the Six Nations championship on Friday (March 11).
She wrote in the caption: “Pre game production meeting in Cardiff today.
“Damn fine food at @theparkgatehotel. Thanks for the spoil xx.
“Can’t wait for the big game tomorrow. Dewch ymlaen Cymru. Come on CYMRUUUUUUU. @sixnationsrugby.”
Sadly for Carol, Wales lost 13-9 to the French team, but went on to beat Scotland 20-17 the following day.
They’re due to take on Italy on Saturday (March 19).
