Coleen Rooney 'confident she's already won' Rebekah Vardy Wagatha Christie trial

Coleen Rooney is reportedly extremely confident ahead of the Wagatha Christie trial verdict which will be handed down today (July 29) at Midday.

Mrs Justice Steyn is giving the bombshell verdict at London’s High Court, and it has been revealed that both Rooney, 36, and Rebekah Vardy are not being given advance notice of the outcome to prevent it being leaked ahead of time.

It’s been claimed that Rooney is “supremely confident” ahead of the verdict and has reportedly told pals: “Whatever the judge decides, I’ve already won.”

Legal sources have reportedly said: “It’s totally at the judge’s discretion but allows those involved to consider their legal position, especially in a high-profile case like this.

“On this occasion that has been totally denied — and they won’t know the result until the morning.”

The trial, which concluded back in May, captivated millions after sensational pieces of evidence were revealed in court which included “incriminating messages” going missing.

The two WAGS have been embroiled in the bitter legal battle since October 2019 after Rooney took to social media to publicly accuse Vardy of leaking stories about her to the press.

Coleen set up her own month-long “sting operation” in an attempt to prove it was Rebekah behind the leaks and after the now infamous reveal post went viral, she was later dubbed Wagatha Christie by several members of the public.

The I’m A Celeb star has always vehemently denied the claims and, in June 2020, filed a civil lawsuit for defamation, maintaining that she personally was not behind the leak.

The highly publicised trial cost up to £3million in lawyer fees and is likely to have taken its toll on both women involved.

Former England star Wayne Rooney spoke about the effect the case has had on his wife, saying: “I’ve watched my wife over the past two, two and a half years, really struggle with everything that’s gone on… she’s become a different mother, a different wife.”
