Coronation Street fans are certain Max Turner is responsible for Amy Barlow’s hospitalisation after her drink was spiked during a night out.
Amy, Asha Alahan and Jacob Hay decided to paint the town red after a school event, however, the night turned bitter when Amy fell to the ground.
With Amy struggling to gain consciousness several viewers seemed to believe that Max was responsible for the spiking as he tried to add an illegal substance to Daniel Osbourne’s drink but Amy drank it instead.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their thoughts on the dramatic events.
One person wrote: “Max spikes Daniel’s drink and Amy downed it before she left the school party.”
Another said: “Max spiked Daniel’s drink, so that he would know how David felt. Amy has drank it, Jacob will get the blame. Max recorded himself spiking the drink, so let’s just say Max is a k**bhead and be done with it.”
A third viewer agreed and commented: “I’m guessing Max spiked Daniel’s drink at the school dance, then when he put it dun beside Amy’s, she drank his accidentally. Wot a wee rotter.”
“It’s either Max or Aidi that’s responsible for Amy’s drug spiking, whether intentionally or meant for someone else. My first thought was Max but wud he realy do that giving wot happened to David. So I half wonder if it cud be Aidi but not sure on the motive. Defo not Jacob,” a fourth added.
Max has had in for his teacher for several months and has constantly taunted him during school lessons and when they are both back home on the street.
A few weeks ago, Max broke into Daniel’s flat and ransacked the place however to Max’s surprise, Daniel caught him red-handed.
After the pair got into a brief altercation, Daniel pushed the deviant schoolboy down the stairs which left him with a broken arm.
Despite not coming clean about the accident, Daniel had the law on his side due to the fact that Max was trespassing on his property.
But could Max have gone a step further by attempting to spike Daniel’s drink with GHB?
