James Bailey left several Coronation Street viewers divided as he made his exit from the popular ITV show.
The former football player was struggling with where he wanted his career to go but thankfully decided to get into coaching.
After finding a role in South London, James told his family that he had to part ways with immediate effect.

But some viewers were rather confused by James’ rushed departure and questioned how he was able to land his dream role so quickly.
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “So James just gets the job and is starting straight away, eh? What about the month-long wait for the DBS check?”
Another viewer penned: “Wow James decides to go into Coaching and just like that he’s got a job.”
And a third social media user said: “So James has got a new job and is leaving in the space of a day? Which world is he living in?!”
But although many were sad to see James leave the long-running soap, many thought more could have been done to develop the character and commented on this aspect too.

Sharing their thoughts, a Corrie viewer wrote: “I’m going to miss James I wish he was given more storylines especially surrounding his sexuality.”
Meanwhile another said: Bye James! Could have done so much more with his character. I’m mad he was only ever the gay footballer who had to quit because of a heart condition. Sorry.”
Actor Nathan Graham who plays James spoke to Digital Spy about his exit after starring in the role for three years.

He said: “Going from a place of security to not knowing what is next is scary and a risk. But then also, it was just the right decision and it felt right. I had a good chat with [Coronation Street producer] Iain MacLeod and he understood my decision.
“I have had some great storylines and I did wonder where the character could go next, so I felt it was time to go and do something different for me,” he explained.
