Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has previously opened up about his health battles.
The 48-year-old actor is best known for playing Steve McDonald in the ITV soap since 1989.
Over the past 32 years, the character has been part of some gripping storylines.

In upcoming scenes, Steve returns from Spain in a wheelchair.
He confesses to pal Tim Medcalfe (Joe Duttine) that he might have been a bit economical with the truth regarding how he broke his ankle but his partner Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) must never find out.
As Steve lies to Tracy about what really happened, Daily Star has taken a look at Simon’s real-life health concerns.
In 2019, the TV personality discussed his battle with “awful” anxiety.
He said a combination of medication and therapy helped him cope.
Simon said at the time: “It’s a hidden, awful emotion but it’s treatable and manageable with the right help.
“Tablets work different for different people, mine worked with therapy. You need to find the right one for you. Life is complicated, enjoy, embrace and love each other.”
Simon, 44, was talking to fans on Twitter following BBC show Nadiya: Anxiety and Me, about former Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain’s mental health struggles.
He has previously spoken about battling depression and was signed off work in 2015 for an undisclosed illness.
But two years ago he said he was the happiest he’s ever been.
Simon previously said: “I had to pinch myself the other day – a beautiful wife and three beautiful kids who are hilarious.”
The Corrie star has been married to former Hollyoaks actress Emma Gleave since 2010 and the pair are parents to sons Alfie, Harry and Henry Teddy.
During his time on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here last year, Simon made a candid health confession after admitting to struggling with the show’s iconic Cyclone trial.
Simon and his campmates Frankie Bridge, Danny Miller and David Ginola got to do the challenge at Gwrych Castle during the 2021 series.
As the group reflected on doing the Cyclone, Simon told his co-stars: “I’m think I’m going to try, and I’m not saying I’m going to succeed, but I’m going to try and live a healthier life.
He added: “Doing that Cyclone I was like ‘Wow! I should not feel like this'”
Back in the Telegraph, Simon said: “You don’t need to have a pile of food like this on a plate. Just enough will do.”
Earlier this year, Simon vowed to start a health kick after joking about needing a sports bra.
Taking to Instagram, he posed for a picture outside a David Lloyd Clubs gym.
