Coronation Street fans were in a rather speculative mood on Monday night, after some believed Toyah Battersby might kidnap Imran Habeeb and Abi Webster’s baby.
Toyah was left heartbroken when she discovered that her partner Imran was the father of Abi’s young child, Alfie.
Trying to move on with her life and the devastation caused by the unlikely pair, Toyah was struck with further disappointment on Monday evening when she was told she wasn’t allowed to adopt Elsie on her own.
But fans were left wondering if Toyah would take things a step further when she unexpectedly rocked up at the hospital to see Imran’s baby in the special care unit.
Taking to Twitter, one fan assumed that a kidnapping storyline would be round the corner.
The viewer penned: “How was Toyah even allowed in there. Not another baby kidnapping storyline coming up is it.”
While another echoed this sentiment and shared: “Toyah will probably end up snatching baby Alfie.”
While others were confused with the fact Toyah was allowed to enter the ward on her own in the first place.

Another person wrote: “Is Toyah (or anyone) allowed to just rock up to the neonatal unit, don a plastic apron and go in looking at a baby in there? I’m sure it wouldn’t be allowed!”
Although many felt sorry for Toyah’s situation initially, viewers’ opinions began to change when Toyah ripped into Abi while at the hospital.
Sharing her thoughts on how she really feels, Toyah told the mechanic that she doesn’t believe Abi is a fit mother and doesn’t deserve to have Alfie as her child.

She also said Alfie would be better off adopted by someone else.
Seeing Toyah throw insults at Abi, fans were certainly put off by her behaviour and shared their thoughts online once again.
One social media user tweeted: “Toyah needs to pipe down and take a good look at her own behaviour. She couldn’t wait to be Abi’s saviour and play the Good Samaritan and her history with baby Susie wasn’t that great either.”
Another fan said: “So now Toyah doesn’t think Abi should get Alfie & he’d be better off in care.
“Toyah’s nasty side has come out & I get she’s angry but she pushed Abi to fight for Alfie in the first place but now she knows that Imran’s the daddy she’s singing a different tune.”
