Coronation Street viewers seem to think Audrey Roberts could be in serious danger as her son Stephen Reid continues to keep a watchful eye on her spending habits.
During Wednesday night’s episode (August 17), Stephen showed evident signs of concern for his mother after she decided to reopen her hair salon.
Seeing how much money Audrey was spending to get the salon back on its feet, Stephen later confronted the business woman and asked whether she was trying to fulfil plans on her “bucket list”.

But as the pair conversed, fans noticed signs that Stephen may have something sinister up his sleeve when Audrey mentioned that she isn’t passing away any time soon.
Jumping on Twitter, one fan wrote: “Stephen’s eyes lit up when Audrey said she’d had a health scare then his face fell when she said nothing serious.”
Another shared: “Yep, we all knew it as soon as Stephen showed his face and saved Audrey from being crushed to death by motorbike. He was just biding his time before moving in for the kill.”
A third wrote: “Stephen hanging around till he can bleed poor Audrey dry.”
Meanwhile a fourth viewer added: “Stephen looking a bit disappointed that Audrey’s not dying…what a scum bag!”

Although Audrey recently admitted to her friends that she tried to commit suicide, the salon owner had a spring in her step and a determination to turn her life around.
But with “creepy” Stephen snooping around trying his best to get Audrey to sort out her cash fund, things may not got as smoothly for the grandma as she once hoped.
Audrey and the rest of the family seem to believe Stephen has a lot of money due to having a successful business in Milan.

But fans are now fully aware that he has no money of his own and needs Audrey’s cash in order to live a comfortable life.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their thoughts once again.
One person wrote: “Stephen’s skint so he’s definitely after Audrey’s money hence why he insisted in the trust funds.”
While another added: “It looks like Stephen is Skint Eastwood, so it’s only a matter of time before he robs Audrey’s money!”
