Coronation Street star Julia Goulding, who plays Shona Platt in the soap, has appeared to confirm she’s pregnant as she cradled her bump on the red carpet.
The star is attending the British Soap Awards tonight (June 11) along with a whole host of her co-stars.
Looking glam as ever on the red carpet, Julia rocked a strapless black dress with long sleeves and velvet patterns as she rested both hands on her bump.
The dress fell to the floor in a stunning style as Julia posed up a storm for the cameras.
The star opted for a chic up-do, tucking her brunette tresses into a neat bun with strands falling to frame her face.
Julia matched up her look with a dark red lipstick and bold eyeliner, adding glitzy earrings for a pop of colour.
She already shares a son, Franklin Wolf Silver, with husband Ben Silver.
The pair welcomed their baby boy in November 2019, announcing the news on Instagram with a caption that read: “Thank you to the lovely couple in the park who took this picture for us.
“Taken as I was in early labour on my due date. The next day Ben and I welcomed our baby son into the world. Franklin Wolf Silver born on 30/11/19.”
She added at the time: “He’s changed our lives for the better in every way. I feel like I’ve known him my whole life.”
She and her hubby attended The Baby Show at Birmingham NEC just last month, perhaps dropping a hint of what was to come.
The last time Julia was pregnant, her character Shona was left in a coma after being shot by Derek Milligan, which left her with a traumatic brain injury.
Shona was moved out of Weatherfield to a specialist treatment centre in Leeds to account for her absence from the show, and it took a while for things to get back on track with her husband David after the incident.
It is not yet known how – or if – Shona will be written out of the cobbles-based drama again.
Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter was also on the red carpet cradling her own baby bump just days after confirming her own pregnancy.
The star posted an ultrasound snap to her Instagram page last week, writing: “Hopeful beginnings…”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 8pm
