Dancing on Ice in schedule shake-up as ITV show moves to new start time

Following Bez’s exit from ITV’s Dancing on Ice, there is now one less celebrity in the line-up – so the show is now moving its start time.

Dancing on Ice will no longer kick off at 6pm as host Phillip Schofield confirmed that the show will be moving to its new start time from Sunday, February 27.

Minutes after it was announced that Bez would be leaving the show following an intense skate off with Sally Dynevor, Phil told viewers at home of the new start time.

He said: “We are back next Sunday at the slightly later time of 6:30pm, that’s 6:30pm on ITV for props week. One couple will skate with all sorts of weird and wonderful things from a desk to a bucket and a mop. It can get out of hand.”

The show has moved its start time ever so slightly to make up for the amount of celebrities who have now left the competition.

In week one, the celebrities were forced to split across two weeks due to the high volume of performances, but now there are enough celebrities to fit into one hour-and-a-half episode.

Next week fans won’t see Bez performing with his famous helmet as the Happy Mondays star was sadly sent packing after he failed to win over the judges in the skate off.

He did get the lowest score of the round, but after the public have spent weeks backing him, it seems fans decided now was his time to go.

He was in the skate off with Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor, who received the second lowest score from the judges, but she managed to get through to props week.

Both Bez and Sally put in a commendable effort for musicals week and although they didn’t get the top score with the judges, fans have still loved seeing them on screen.

However, sadly, it was Bez’s time to leave as the star waved goodbye and wished his fellow celebs luck as they continued to fight for the top spot.

Viewers have been impressed with the talent on Dancing on Ice this year, with Kimberley Wyatt, Brendan Cole and Regan Gascoigne consistently getting closer and closer to the big 40.

Kimberley smashed the leaderboard in Sunday night’s episode, hitting a whopping high of 47.5, while Brendan Cole managed to bag the first 10 of the series.

Dancing on Ice returns Sunday on ITV at 6:30pm.
