Davina McCall has revealed her thoughts on a new series of Big Brother, and she’s ‘really excited’ about the prospect of the iconic reality show’s return.
TV star Davina hosted the legendary housemate programme for 10 years during its initial run on Channel 4, from the very first episode in July 2000 until 2010.
Emma Willis, who later hosted the series until it ended in 2018, said she wouldn’t fight Davina for a presenting spot if the show comes back as Davina is “the queen”.
The series threw members of the general public who’d never met each other before in a house.
Davina’s now spoken exclusively to Daily Star about the show, following reports it could soon be making an epic comeback to screens.

The Masked Singer star shared her thoughts about the show at the launch of her new Channel 4 documentary, Sex, Mind and the Menopause, which airs next Monday (May 2) at 9pm.
The stunning ITV star said she “really hopes” Big Brother hits our screens again, and that the idea is “really exciting”.
She said: “[The prospect of] Big Brother returning is very exciting. I mean, I really, really hope it comes back, and I think if it’s coming back to ITV2 then that is a really good home for it.”
The presenter also said she’d be keen to know if the show would change how they cast its housemates, and if they would be planning to try a “different mix” of people.

Davina added: “I’d just be interested to see how they do casting and change it up at all. It would be good to kind of, just get really interesting people in the house and maybe try a different mix. So yeah, very exciting.”
It comes amid reports Big Brother is set to return to screens next year on a rival channel.
According to The Sun, ITV bosses are in talks to bring back the iconic reality show, but this has not been confirmed by the channel.
The bosses are thought to be considering the series for ITV2 in 2023 after dating show Love Island has aired.

An insider told the publication: “ITV is the home of big appointment telly. They know better than anyone how to put on big live events.
“They think putting it on ITV2 will open it up to a new audience and legion of younger fans.
“They are really keen on getting the deal done on Big Brother, and hope to have something firm to announce soon.”
The alleged talks are believed to be in the early stages and the next few weeks are said to be crucial in the planning process.

Davina was the first presenter of the show until 2010 before ex-winner Brian Dowling took over the reins for two years.
It was then Emma Willis who took on hosting duties until the show finished in 2018.
Emma spoke to Daily Star about returning to Big Brother if it came back at the W Channel Spring Launch.

Big Brother first aired on Channel 4 from 2000 until 2010 before Channel 5 acquired the rights and relaunched the popular show in 2011.
ITV declined to comment when approached by Daily Star.
