EastEnders' Adam Woodyatt's divorce from wife 'finalised' two years after split

Adam Woodyatt’s divorce from his wife has reportedly been finalised two years after their split.

The former EastEnders actor, 54, announced he’d split from Beverley Sharp, 57, in 2020 following 22 years of marriage.

It was understood the pair had entered into divorce negotiations, but sources have now claimed they’ve reached an agreement and are “officially divorced”.

An alleged friend of Bev told The Sun: “Bev and Adam are now officially divorced.

“As well as being his wife, Bev was also his manager for about a dozen years and she did so much for his career.

“She rejected some of the settlement offers she was sent during the process and now she’s glad she held her ground — she is delighted with the settlement.

“She still has no idea why he left her but that’s all in the past. She’s very upbeat and sees it as a new chapter. I’ve no doubt Bev will find someone new soon. She’s in a good place.”

The couple share two children and lived for years in Southam, Warwickshire.

Adam has played Ian Beale, an iconic EastEnders character, since 1985 but has been taking time away from the soap.

He left Walford last year and turned his talents to reality TV when he starred on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

The actor appeared emotional as he told hosts Ant and Dec that he saw the show as “a new start” for him.

He told them: “There’s a lot of stuff going on but mentally I’ve sorted myself out. My head was in the right place going in there which was why I loved it so much.”

Adam has also graced the stage in theatre thriller Looking Good Dead, and has just landed a job in a production of My Fair Lady, where he’s set to play Eliza’s dad Alfred.

Daily Star has contacted a representative of Adam Woodyatt for comment.
