Emmerdale fans were baffled when they saw Leyla Harding return to the Dales on the ITV soap – after being shot by Meena Jutla.
Last week on the soap, Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) was left fighting for her life when Meena (Paige Sandhu) shot her.
Meena had kidnapped newly wed couple Billy (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn (Olivia Bromley), demanding her ex choose who dies, but she didn’t expect Leyla to show up on the scene.
Upon seeing the chaos with Meena, Leyla tried to drive away, but Meena managed to shoot her through the car, leaving Leyla unconscious.

She had to be rushed to hospital and went in for emergency surgery, because the bullet hit her in a dangerous place, putting in her a critical state.
However, on Wednesday night (February 23), she seemed to make a remarkably speedy recovery as she showed up to chat to Jacob (Joe Warren-Plant) in David’s shop.
Jacob was rather distracted by the chaotic consequences of his one night stand with Chloe, but Leyla looked incredibly upbeat.
She told him a drunken tale of how she slept through a fire alarm and woke up to a hunky fireman after a night of boozing.

It was because Jacob lied to her, claiming he turned up late to his shop as he overslept in a bid to keep his romance with Chloe a secret.
Leyla said: “I woke up to this hunky firefighter slinging me over his shoulder. It was the best wake up ever…”
Fans were baffled though, because they thought she looked way too fit considering she’d been shot the previous week, and many took to Twitter.
One fan wrote: “Leyla’s made a quick recovery hasn’t she?”

A third commented: “You wouldn’t think Leyla was shot a week ago”.
A fourth penned: “Leyla’s bounced back pretty quickly considering she’s been shot!”
A fifth sarcastically quipped: “Leyla back like nothing happened the medical and care in #Emmerdale must be cutting edge”.
A sixth added: “Leyla gets shot Friday, better by Wednesday”.
