Emmerdale fans have slammed Noah Dingle for “playing the victim” in a tense verbal argument with Charity.
Wednesday’s episode (May 18) of the ITV soap saw the youngster confronted by his mother over wasting time and siting on the sofa instead of helping her.
The row followed Charity contacting the police after Noah was caught spying on and stalking his ex Chloe Harris.
Replying venomously to his mother’s suggestion that he won’t face jail time, Noah said: “If I could see that it could happen, and them out there could too, why the hell couldn’t you?”
He later sarcastically added: “When they lock me up, make yourself feel better with the fact that [you thought you were doing the right thing] and the fact you won’t have a son anymore because I’ll be done with you.”
Quick to rally around Charity and slam Noah were Emmerdale fans.
Posting to Twitter, they pleaded with Noah to “take responsibility” and “stop playing the victim”.
One fan wrote: “Take responsibility fgs Noah you put yourself in this position I’m proud of Charity.”
Another commented: “Stop playing the victim, Noah.”
A third said: “The way Noah is going on you’d think he is the victim in this storyline and not Chloe.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Sorry Noah, but you need to deal with what you done. Hate people like you.”
Another concluded: “Tell him to sod off, Charity.”
The scenes followed Charity informing the police of Noah’s misdeeds.
Earlier this month, Noah discovered that Charity had contacted law enforcement after discovering he had been stalking his ex-girlfriend Chloe.
The stalking including Noah harassing Chloe and taking pictures of her without her consent.
The youngster has since been charged with harassment and faces criminal proceedings, which could result in a jail term.
Emmerdale airs at 7.30 pm on weekdays on ITV.
