Emmerdale star Charley Webb is “so proud” of her son Buster as he made his acting debut.
Charley, who played Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap, shares Buster, 12, with her co-star husband Matthew Wolfenden, best known for his role as David Metcalfe.
Buster is now following in the footsteps of his famous parents, and appeared in a show last week – a role which included singing as well as acting.
Charley shared an adorable snap of the pair posed with their faces close together, with her hand resting on her son’s cheek as she gushed: “This kid can sing!
“Buster’s been in rehearsals all week for a show this weekend. I could barely breathe I was so nervous but he was amazing. Beyond proud.
“Everyone was coming up to me at the end of the show to say how amazing he was.
“But more than that, the people who worked backstage were so complimentary on his manners and kindness. Proud to be his mama.”
Along with Buster, Charley and Matthew also share sons Bowie, six, and Ace, three.
The news comes after Charley reportedly made the decision to step away from Emmerdale for good, and has already been pictured playing a police woman in The Long Shadow, an ITV drama retelling the true crimes of serial killer Peter Sutcliffe.
She’s also landed another new part, and will portray Elise in new TV drama Better, which is currently filming.
Charley told fans on her Instagram account: “Costume fitting for my new job. I’m excited for the next two projects I’m filming over the summer and to get back on screen.”
A source added to The Sun: “Charley is closing the door on Emmerdale for good and won’t be going back. The past few months have given her time to think about the future and it is one that doesn’t involve Emmerdale.”
Debbie’s final appearance in the village came last year, before she headed off to Scotland to run a garage in the Highlands, with her family occasionally popping up to see her.
Charley first appeared in the show as a child back in 2002 – and her only other on-screen acting role came as Kathy Carberry in one episode of The Royal four years later.
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV.
