Emmerdale actress Mabel Addison was faced with several rejections before landing the role in the ITV soap.
The TV star currently plays Clemmie Reed, the daughter of Dawn Fletcher’s late friend Beth.
Beth died of an overdose, leaving seven-year-old Clemmie in the care of her friend Jade.

After Beth’s funeral, Jade invited Beth’s old friend Dawn back to her house to celebrate Beth’s life as she didn’t have the money to pay for a wake.
At Jade’s house, Dawn was left stunned when she found little Clemmie sleeping in a dog bed in the corner of the filthy kitchen.
When Dawn returned to the living room to confront Jade about Clemmie, she found Jade shooting up heroin.
Dawn refused to leave Clemmie in Jade’s care so she took Clemmie home with her to Woodbine Cottage.
She was later taken into care and Dawn was left gobsmacked when she learned that Clemmie’s father is her ex-partner Alex (Liam Boyle), who is also the father of Dawn’s son Lucas (Noah Ryan Aspinall).
Ahead of her debut as Clemmie last month, a message of support for the young star was posted by Articulate Drama and School Agency’s Facebook page.
Alongside a snap of Mabel, it read: “This week, Articulate’s amazing Mabel Addison makes her first appearance on Emmerdale.
“She has joined the cast of the Yorkshire soap as Clemmie, and her story starts in this week’s episodes.
“Mabel worked extremely hard to get this role after a fair few rejections following self-tapes.
It continued: “She has really improved as an actress through her perseverance.
“She has been thoroughly enjoying her time filming for this challenging role and we can’t wait to see her on our screens.”
Knowing that Clemmie and Lucas are sister and brother had made Dawn even more determined to get custody of the little girl.
Dawn’s supportive husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) told social services that they want custody of Clemmie but he was told that Alex will have to give his permission.
