Love Island star Gemma Owen has been adjusting to life in the villa after the arrival of her ex-boyfriend Jacques O’Neill.
19-year-old Gemma is currently coupled up with Luca Bish after he stole her from Italian hunk Davide Sanclimenti – but Luca was hit with a shock when Jacques entered the villa.
Meanwhile, Jacques, 23, chose to couple up with Paige Thorne and has been enjoying flirting with the Welsh paramedic.
But fans of the ITV dating show are convinced that there is unfinished business between Gemma and Jacques and think they will soon decide to get back together.

Familiar face

During Sunday night’s episode (June 12) Afia Tonkmor said to Gemma: “I know it’s your ex, I’m not saying you’re happy to see him, but it’s nice to see someone familiar.”
Some fans believe this sense of familiarity could push the exes back together, with former islander Shaughna Phillips agreeing.
Speaking on OK!’s Instagram Live, she said: “Afia hit the nail on the head there.
“I remember hearing songs that reminded us of home, and we were like ‘oh my god I remember this’, so to have someone in there that you already know is like a very big deal and I think… I see them getting back together.”

Fans are convinced that they saw Gemma winking at Jacques as he stripped down to silver briefs in the Men-Chanics challenge on Tuesday.
One eagle-eyed fan Tweeted: “Are my eyes deceiving me or did Gemma wink at Jacques.”
Another said: “’No Gemma did not just give Jacques a cheeky wink.”
One person wrote: “Did anyone else see that wink Gemma gave to Jacques, this girl is playing out here.”
The pair have also been seen chatting and flirting with one another on several occasions, much to Luca’s annoyance.

Rumours have been flying around that Gemma and Jacques only split so that they could both appear on Love Island and begin careers in reality TV.
One fan Tweeted: “Honestly think Jacques and Gemma split up with the aim of getting on the show to then get back together on national TV and launch their reality tv careers.”
Another said: “Ugh. Love island has set up this whole Gemma/Jacques love rekindled story. It’s so obvious. There’s gonna be a reality show following them after.”
‘Fake’ accusations

Love Island is famous for bringing drama to our screens and some fans believe that the Gemma and Jacques situation has been staged to add tension to the show.
Some even believe the two never actually broke up.
Writing on Twitter, one person said: “This Gemma and Jacques storyline is scripted nonsense.
“Gemma obviously has a boyfriend and has agreed to come on LI to increase her profile but only if he got to appear on the show with her. They’re obviously going to “get back together” and everyone will play along.”
A third added: “Gemma and Jacques knew each other were doing #LoveIsland and this is all a set up by some PR person.”
However, Gemma and Jacques did part way over 18 months ago.
Producers of Love Island claim it is “absolutely untrue” to say that the drama is scripted.
