Former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook has revealed she is eyeing up a role in Emmerdale or Coronation Street.
The actress found fame as Albert Square’s Sam Mitchell, who is being brought back on the BBC soap – but with another actress in the role.
Kim Medcalf, who played Sam from 2002 to 2005, will be the character when she returns.
Speaking on GB News, Danniella revealed she had no hard feelings about Kim and wished her well in the role.
But asked if EastEnders was in her future, she said: “I am so RIP Sam Mitchell.”
“I would love to do Emmerdale or Corrie,” she said.
Danniella also hinted that she might return to the stage at some point.
“I love doing TV but I don’t get the same buzz as I do with a live audience for theatre,” she said.
The 48-year-old has been undergoing facial reconstructive surgery in recent months.
She suffered damage to her nasal septum as the result of her cocaine use, which was well-documented in the 1990s and 2000s.
Her face was also damaged due to osteoporosis, making her bones weaken.
She recently said she was looking to the future, to a time when it was all behind her.
“Can’t wait for all my surgery to be done… will be back to my best and fighting fit and next year I will be 50!” she posted on Instagram.
“Bring it on… I’m ready… More than ready,” she went on.
“I’m ready for a full transformation physically. I’ve spent a lot of time alone the last six months.
“I’ve been working on myself and my spiritual side has already begun evolving, I’ve cut the deadbeats and energy draining people out of my life.
“And I am ready to get busy living… And busy working.”
