I’m A Celebrity bosses have signed up the first ever member of the royal family to join the star-studded line-up of the new ITV series, according to The Sun.

The former England rugby star is set to join next month’s I’m A Celebrity line up which is set to return to the bug-infested Australian jungle.

He is set to be ITV’s biggest signing as they welcome the 43-year-old is the husband of the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall.

Mike is set to appear alongside stars including Boy George, comic Seann Walsh and DJ Chris Moyles.

A source has since revealed details of the sportsman’s closely-guarded secret to the publication.

The insider explained: “It’s a massive coup. Mike has had a box seat for some of the most important moments in royal history for generations.

“He is sure to be discreet, but his sheer presence means this series will be an absolute must-watch.”

Mike – who lifted the 2003 World Cup with England, tied the knot to his loving bride Zara back in 2011.

The happy couple have since welcomed three children together – Mia, eight, Lena, four, and Lucas, one.

He has since become a key member of the royal family as an essential member of the inner-circle.

It comes after the star was pictured playfully signalling he was keeping an eye on four-year-old Prince Louis at the Jubilee celebrations accompanied with his wife Zara to the Queen’s funeral last month.

Mike told his podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, how he had been “blown away” by the national outpouring of grief for the late monarch.

He added: “Zara loved the Queen beyond everything. Their connection with horses – the same with the Princess Royal – they had a real bond around that.”
