I'm A Celeb's Chris Moyles takes swipe at Declan Donnelly as he enters ITV show

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star Chris Moyles has joked he wants to “turn the tables” on Ant and Dec, as he made a subtle swipe at one of the stars.

Radio DJ Chris is one of the stars set to enter the jungle as the beloved ITV reality show prepares to launch on September November 6 at 9pm.

Speaking ahead of the show launch, Chris revealed that he has known hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for years and that they will have “great delight in watching him squirm.”

However, he joked that he wishes the tables could be turned so they took part in the jungle too, saying: “If Ant and Dec want to swap with me for 24-hours, I am happy for me and one other campmate to host the show whilst they live in the jungle.”

Chris also make a subtle swipe at host Dec, adding: “I am offering that up right now!”

“Ant will be ok but Dec will probably struggle because he is just so small.”

At the time of speaking, Ant and Dec did not know that Chris will be taking part, with the Radio DJ saying: “I think they are going to be shocked when they find out I am doing it and hopefully delighted.

“The moment I see them, there could be a lot of giggling. I have known the boys for a long time and they are brilliant.”

Reflecting on the upcoming challenges ahead, he added: “I just have this vision in my head that I am going to be in a coffin with rats whilst Ant goes, ‘How are you feeling?’ and I will reply, ‘You know exactly how I am feeling, let’s just get on with it you little terrors!”

Other celebs set to head into the jungle alongside Chris also include Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner, pop sensation Boy George, Love Island legend Olivia Attwood, A Place In The Sun star Scarlette Douglass and Loose Women’s Charlene White.

They will be joined by Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver, comedians Babatunde Aleshe and Seann Walsh, footballing legend Jill Scott and the first member of the royal family taking part in the gruelling four-week long challenge as Mike Tindall joins the cast.

However, Chris revealed that he did not say yes immediately to entering the jungle, but that he is a huge fan of the show as he prepares to take part himself.

“In the past, I always said no to offers to take part,” said Chris.

“But this year, I didn’t say no immediately, and I ended up going to a meeting. Now I don’t know why I said yes.

“But I am a huge fan of the show and I know what I am letting myself in for! My friends who have done it before have told me I will have a great time.”
